New Zealand offers several work visa categories. The Skilled Migrant Work Visa, Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), and the Working Holiday Visa are the most common. The AEWV (introduced 2022) requires the employer to be accredited with Immigration New Zealand. The Straight to Residence pathway is available for workers in Green List Tier 1 occupations.

Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV): employer must hold INZ accreditation
Three-step process: Job Check, employer accreditation, visa application
Working Holiday Visa for nationals of partner countries (aged 18–30/35)
Post-Study Work Visa for NZ graduates
Green List occupations can go straight to residence
