Overview
Spain's work permit for non-EU nationals is a combined visa and work authorisation, typically issued initially for 1 year and renewable. The employer applies on behalf of the worker. Spain also has the Highly Qualified Professional permit for senior roles and the EU Blue Card route. A labour market test (situación nacional de empleo) must usually be satisfied.

Eligibility Requirements

- ✓Employer has successfully completed the labour market test (unless exempt)
- ✓Qualifications or professional experience relevant to the job
- ✓No criminal convictions in Spain or country of residence
- ✓Medical certificate of good health
- ✓Valid passport with at least 4 months of validity beyond intended stay
